The City of Arvada (IPA: /arˈvaˈda/) is a suburb of the Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area and a Home Rule Municipality in Jefferson County and Adams County, Colorado, United States. Olde Town Arvada is located 7 miles (11 km) northwest of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. The United States Census Bureau estimates that the population of Arvada was 104,830 on 2006-07-01. Arvada is the eighth most populous city in the state of Colorado and the 239th most populous city in the United States.
